technology

I got a new phone 2 weeks ago. I am still learning how it works! People always think that everyone my age (almost 20) knows everything about technology and the internet. I know a little bit and I can manage my facebook and e-mail accounts, but aside from that, you'll have to ask my boyfriend. Maybe I'm an exception...or maybe the stereotype is wrong...?

3rd party

I checked out the fd's flickr toys. I thought it was really cool that you can make mosiacs of your own pictures using this tool. This could be an awesome way to make Christmas cards, invitations for parties, baby announcements, etc. I will probably use this in the future to do fun things like that!

I just find it really interesting that people take so much time to do stuff like this. This was done in a subway in NYC. I have been there and I can say first-hand that you cannot even see things like this when you are on the subway. I can understand grafitti in a highly visible spot, but undergroud when people will only see a blur if they are even looking out the window? Just doesn't make sense.

7 1/2 things

Obviously learning is something that I love to do. I have always loved school and it has never been too difficult for me. After viewing the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners, I realized that the hardest habit for me to adopt is to view problems as challenges. The easiest for me is to have confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner. Academics has always been one of my strengths and something that I pride myself in. But as we all know, learning isn't just about academics. It takes me a while when I come across a problem to realize that it is something I can learn from. In hind-sight is when I usually see this; but when in the heat of the moment, my gut reaction is to panic and figure out how to solve the problem as soon as possible. It something I need to work on I guess...

what is this?

So, you're supposed to learn something new every day right? At least that's what they say. This is where I will be posting new things that I learn from time to time. Feel free to correct me when I'm wrong or to add things you learn too!
